Background
- Client is an owner of a small chain of boutique hotels
- Client was a in need of iPhone app solution for his staff to easily and quickly communicate, schedule, track and report maintenance issues
Scope
- Create an easy to use app for the iPhone platform to allow hotel managers and employees to assign, track and complete maintenance requests
- In conjunction with the iPhone app, build a web based application to allow for easy data entry for the bulk information hotel properties, assets, employees, etc.
- Be able to use the camera feature on the iPhone to take pictures to document maintenance issues
Solution
- Created a maintenance software designed to meet the needs of the client. The software provides management, organizational, tracking and reporting tools for the effective maintenance of the client’s hotel.
- The finished solution is an easy to learn survey based system that can be easily maintained by the hotel staff
- Using the iPhone app, users are able to schedule maintenance for all hotel rooms, equipment, as well as interior and exterior areas of each property
- Users are able to email survey results and reports of each property to hotel managers
- The iPhone app also sends notices and reminders to assigned workers to review their tasks and a summary of activities
- On creation or completion of any task, reminder push notification function is implemented to send notifications on respective iphone user
