Upgrading to PHP 5.2 and above

Is your software currently running on PHP5.1 or older? The cost of not upgrading to a more stable version leaves your application with greater amount of risk as it will not include the new features, bug fixes and security enhancements of the newer PHP versions.

The cost associated with upgrading to a newer version of PHP 5.2 and above varies from one application to another. If your site is very straight forward and simple, without many customizations, itâ€™s a fairly estimation process. If your site has many customized features, the conversion can be more complex and involved.

Step 1:-

Obtaining the Source Codes
First we need to evaluate the source codes for your application and website. We will require that you deliver to us via one of our secure FTP your full source code and database. If you need assistance with using the FTP, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you. If you require us to sign any confidentiality and/or non disclosure agreements, we are open to doing so.

Step 2:-

Initial Evaluation
Once we receive your source codes and database, we conduct a complete top-to-bottom analysis of your site. This process will take roughly 2-3 business days depending on the size of your website and/or application. Upon completion of our analysis we will report back to you our findings, suggestions and the cost and time needed to upgrade. The evaluation itself is free.

Step 3:-

Upgrading
No Custom Codes If your application and/or website have very little or no custom coding, the upgrade should be fairly simple. We will convert your site to the latest PHP version as well as provide full QA testing. The costs and timeframes will be provided on a case by case basis.

Custom Codes
If your application and/or website have been custom coded, a detailed investigation will be required, allowing us to make sure a complete and through estimate of the cost of upgrading your application and/or website. Since every custom application and/or site is different, further investigation and custom upgrades are billed individually by time and materials.
